Revelation 13,11: The Beast from the Earth.

 

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a Dragon. 

 

This beast exercises his power by the authority of the "Beast from the Sea" with his 7 heads. The 7 heads are like a gallery of ancestors, and now, at the end of times, he bears his 7th head. It has been deadly wounded, but lives again now. And the "Beast from the Earth" makes all people to honor this beast having resurrected from death. (Rev 13,12) 

 

Down in the earth is the abyss. This is the realm of the dead. But the "Beast from the Earth" has its origin not there, because nobody will be born in the abyss. 

Then: Where does he come from? 

 

Let's look back to the situation when the Tower of Babel has been built. At that time the power has been taken from Satan, to prevent mankind getting into danger. ( Nothing would be impossible to mankind under the leadership of Satan.) 

 

His power has been transferred to his fellowship, other angels. They became the deities of the nations. 

In psalm 82 God criticizes later their work as "unjust" - they would not care enough for the poor and the weak. 

Further on they would leave their people in the "dark" - not knowing anything about their current legal situation before God.

 

But when we think of the creation, how it has been blemished after the Fall, that animals are eating each other, that the soul of men has been spoiled by envy, greed and aggression, that children are born under great pain, that everybody is mortal now, ... then we can perceive, that not the whole power of Satan has been given to the angels. 

 

Because this malice we cannot find with the angels. This malice has been transferred to an other spirit. This is here (Rev 13) the "Beast from the Earth". His name is the "False Prophet". 

 

During the 70th yearweek all the demonic angels have been thrown into the sheol. To the time of the Apocalypse they come again to the people on earth. They are surprised, of course. Suddenly they are there again. 

 

Let's draw up a profile of the false Prophet: 

 

                  a.) He can do great signs. Fire falls from the sky. 

                  b.) People have to build a statue of the beast from the sea, 

                        who has been dead and now lives again. 

                   c.) The false prophet makes the statue speaking. 

                  d.) All people, who do not adore the statue, are sentenced to death. 

                  e.) All people have a sign on their hand or their forehead, otherwise 

                       they cannot sell or buy. ( "Teitan" or "666" ) 

 

We remember, that in the Book of Daniel similar things happened. In Daniel 3 there is such a statue: Everybody has to adore the image, or they are threatened by death in the fire. 

 

Here Nebuchadnezzar causes a meanness, a malice, which has only been inspired by the false prophet. "Bel", the god of Nebuchadnezzar, cannot be the initiator, because the deities of the nations are not so mean, as we said before, they are rather unjust and leave their people in a state of blindness in respect of the law of God.

 

The false prophet is in commission of Lucifer's malice. He comes as a lamb. But his both horns are 

1st the lie and 2nd the violence.

 

The lie is not a kind of falsehood - it is always a lie against the word of God.  The violence is not always a type of force.

 

As we know, horns are men. So the false prophet is able to engage (always?) men, who spread out the lies and men, who support these lies by force. 

 

He has no power on his own. He becomes active only, if he will be authorized by a deity of a Nation. 

The false prophet is the malice of Lucifer.

 

So Lucifer can take influence on the events on the earth - but only, if the deity of a nation gives his permission, gives his power.

"Teitan" and the "666". 

 

"Teitan" comes from the Babylonian and has been accepted later by the Greek. Translated it means "Devil". In the beginning it had a positive meaning. In Roman times it had already a negative coefficient. 

 

Rev 13,18: 

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. 

 

And so let's count the number. 

 

For Irenaeus of Lyon, one of the Church Fathers, who lived about 200 A.D. , this request was the occasion, to get to know the coming evil. If the coming evil is known, then we can take action for defense.

Although if we cannot recognize the Antichrist directly, so it is on the other hand a challenge, to think of our own relation to God, whether we are on the true way or not. 

 

The church should have taken this point of view, and so she could have avoided, to bring harm eaven to the followers of Christ, which did not happen so rarely.

Besides Irenaeus of Lyon many have tried to calculate the meaning of the "666". As you can imagine, there are quite a few names - added - have the sum 666.

 

But even if it is the right name, how could you know, that it is the right Name? 

 

Verse 18: 

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. 

 

To "count" the number means only, to add the numbers of the Greek letters. But this is not the "wisdom". "Wisdom" is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. And therefore we are looking for insight, which is not ours, which comes to us in a prophetic way.

 

There are reports from visitors in hell, who have been there in the accompany of Jesus. From there we have impressions, which will not leave us untouched. On the other hand us has to be shown, where now the special hints are.

A girl from India named Unity had a vision during the Shillong-Revival. Her account in the internet is to find with the words "Unity's Vision Doc". ( Doc means text.)

 

She writes: "After the rapture I saw angels, who fought against a dragon, who is the number 666". 

... "When the dragon, who is 666 himself, ...". 

 

By this indication it has been confirmed, that this name with the sum 666 is the right name. The name is the name of Satan. It is not any name. And it was in use among the Greek. ( It is a human number.) 

 

Teitan means devil. The sum is 666.    And so we have: 

 

Lucifer's human name is "Teitan".   His spiritual name is "Lucifer".    His title is "Satan".
